Having a hard time finding space to park the few dozen Porsches and Ferraris in your auto collection? Take a look at this robotic parking garage, located at a Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg, Germany.
According to info over at Snopes and Inside Line, the 20-story towers that house this robotic car-fetcher are used solely to store new VW vehicles, which can be retrieved by their expectant owners after purchase.

This is great it has really inspired me since i’m doing the same(computer controlled underground car park) project as a third year student here in mombasa polytechnic university college in kenya. Doing a diploma in technology electronic and computer engineering.

when there is no more space on the land we conquere the air.. This is well optimized architectual decision.
I am not able to figure out how would this work when almost everyone come at same time to park (say in the morning) or come to take their car out (in the evening)
This is a super future garage, looks like its only for the VW factory’s, not a working customer car garage.
